When I suggested meeting my mom today, she in turn suggested afternoon tea at The Allis in Chicago. The lobby restaurant in Soho House Chicago, The Allis is not your traditional hotel afternoon tea venue. And that was fine with us. It was a nice change to what we are used to here in Chicago, but also at half the price of other hotel afternoon tea menus.
There were more sweets than savories, but that’s okay because we had plenty of tea. And the kids certainly didn’t complain!

The Allis at Soho House Chicago is located at 125 North Green Street in Chicago. Afternoon tea is served Saturday and Sunday from 1:30 to 6pm and Monday through Friday from 2:30 to 5pm.
