I started my blog seven years ago, not really knowing what I would write about. But my web designer, Christine, from Sorella Design, suggested I write a blog. So I tried it and voila–seven years later–here we are.
When I started the blog, I was still writing my memoir, trying to find an agent (which I did two years into the blog) and get it published (four years into the blog).
I’ve written about Old Hong Kong and have received so many lovely comments from people who knew my favorite city back in the 60s and 70s. Places like The Godown, Tkachenko’s, the August Moon Hotel, and the Tai Pak Floating Restaurant in Castle Peak are just a handful of former Hong Kong institutions that have brought me in contact with people from around the world who knew and loved these places.
Other highlights have included my family’s old travel photos, also from the 60s and 70s.
I’ve also featured other photos on Fridays and a book of the week (not every week, but I try!). Thank you to everyone who has read and commented over the years! Sometimes when I think I can’t possibly have anything else to write about, I find a new favorite book or go on a short trip somewhere. And here we are seven years later.
