stamps

It’s been one week into the Year of the Rooster and I thought I’d show the US postage stamps commemorating the Lunar New Year. In past years sometimes the animal is hardly visible on the US stamps, but this year the rooster is quite prominent. I love how the designer incorporated a lucky red envelope into the image. It not only shows the zodiac animal, but also an important part of Chinese New Year–laisee, or a red envelope filled with money.

These stamps are available at US Post Offices for a limited time.

Happy Year of the Rooster!
