Ever since I started blogging almost seven years ago, I’ve come across some amazing old family photos. And many of the photos were taken on trips my family members have taken over many decades. Some have stayed in my mind all this time, while others I’ve found more recently. These are my favorites by decade, from the 1960s to the 1990s.
From the 60s, my mom in New York heading off on some trip or another.
Her mother–my grandmother–sitting back in first class on a TWA flight, the airline my grandparents flew thanks to family passes via my uncle (who had the best job ever, calculating airfares for obscure routes).
In the 1980s, I love this photo of my brother and me in Mexico City.
A decade later, I was at Borobudur in Indonesia.
There are many others I love, but these are at the top of my list.
