The House of Folklore

July 5, 2016 By Susan Blumberg-Kason 1 Comment

I go for bags the same way many go for shoes, especially when said bags are from Hong Kong. I recently learned of The House of Folklore, an online store based in Hong Kong. When I saw this bag, I couldn’t say no.

Cluth up close and personal

The House of Folklore doesn’t just sell Chinese designs. It offers a wide range of home decor, toys, jewelry and other accessories, and other gift ideas based on designs from Egypt and India, among other places. And for a limited time, The House of Folklore is offering free shipping to the US! Free shipping!

So I placed my order and a couple days later received this securely-packed box.

Inside I found this drawstring bag!

And inside that bag was this nicely wrapped present–to myself.

Voila! The clutch is a perfect size for my phone, keys, wallet, and sunglasses.

Me with the clutch

This clutch also comes in a clear design. This is the product description on The House of Folklore’s website: Inspired by the love for animals, our cruelty free clutches are illustrated by Indian born HK based digital artist, Mayura Yadav. The birds depict the freedom from all the animal cruelty involved in hi-fashion and the celebration of free spiritedness. Believe us when we say no animal was harmed in the making of this product.

Remember, free shipping is only offered for a limited time!
