The House on Newhall Street

If you’ve read Good Chinese Wife, you might remember the house on Newhall Street, where I lived in San Francisco for two years. Jake and I left that house 16 years ago and we haven’t been back–until last week.

I didn’t go, but Jake visited his dad, who was in California for the week, and they went back to the old neighborhood to look at the house. The current owners weren’t too sure about letting strangers into their home, so Jake didn’t get to see inside.

But it’s nice he saw his first home and the neighborhood where we used to live.
