I’ve spent the last eleven months doing book promotions and talking in-depth about my years in Hong Kong and China. To say I’ve revisited the past multiple times over is an understatement. But I knew this was what I’d have to do when I decided to publish such a personal memoir.

In four months I’ll fly back to where it all started. Although I’ve been to Hong Kong a couple times since I left in 1998, this will be the first time I’ll be back in China since the late 90s and the first time in Shanghai in twenty years!

What I’m most looking forward to in Hong Kong is visiting parks like this one, the Kowloon Walled City Park. I won’t have a ton of time in Hong Kong and will be with my mom for at least two of the three quick days. But there are many parks in Kowloon and I hope to visit a couple I haven’t seen before.

Do you ever dream of places to visit, even if you only have one day to see them?
