This photo was taken about five years ago, when my daughter Rachel was three. My friend Pauline gave her this beautiful qipao, so I took out my latest one (at the time) and we took this photo together.
And ever since then, when I’ve traveled to Hong Kong I’ve always bought Rachel a Chinese dress. She has two more and I hope will have another from my trip there this fall.
