We had some crazy weather in Chicago today: torrential downpours, tornado warnings, and flash flood advisories. But that didn’t keep me from taking the train downtown for an eye appointment and meeting my mom for lunch at Russian Tea Time.
I hadn’t been there in about a year since I went with author Brianna DuMont (we share the same fabulous agent, Carrie Pestritto), but it seems like every time I go to Russian Tea Time, their Central Asian menu items increase tenfold.
For lunch today, my mom and I shared a lamb samsa.
And the vegetarian platter, complete with hummus, tabouli, eggplant, carrot salad, various cabbage salads, beets, among others.
No meal at Russian Tea Time would be complete without their Darjeeling-black current blend.
Perfect for a rainy day!
Russian Tea Time is located at 77 East Adams Street, Chicago. 312.360.0000.
Yum! I loved it, but I love beets and brown bread, which is in abundance there. Can’t go wrong with the B’s!
What a delectable looking and sounding lunch! Makes me hungry…oh, and thank you for choosing to accept the handbag challenge 🙂
It was a great lunch! Perfect for the hot and rainy weather. Thank you so much for posting your purse challenge. It was so much fun, both your post and taking part in it!
