On a tram
Peering at a tram, 1996

One of the things I can’t wait to do when I return to Hong Kong in October is to ride the trams.

I’m so determined to make the most out of my time there–trams included–that I purposely booked a hotel that’s not across from an MTR (train) station.

But it is across from a tram stop. That will force us to take full advantage of one of Hong Kong’s oldest forms of transportation.

When I took Tom to Hong Kong the first time two years ago, we didn’t ride the trams until our last full day there. Huge mistake, but that’s what you get for trying to cram years of memories into four days.
