ZooI’ve been proofreading the final version of GOOD CHINESE WIFE this week and am now at the part where I’m nearing the end of my San Francisco days.

When I think about the story I tell in this book, I usually focus on my time in Hong Kong. But almost half the book takes place in San Francisco, a city I thought would be the happily-ever-after I was searching for in that marriage.

Here’s a photo of Jake and me at the San Francisco Zoo. My dad is standing in the background.

Things don’t always work out the way we hoped they would, but that’s okay.
