Whether it was a good year or a bad year, 2012 is almost over. Here are some highlights of my year. January The year started off on high note, that’s for sure. In the span of four days in mid-January, I booked a ticket to Hong Kong (first time to return since I left my [...] One of the advantages of marrying someone of a different religion is that there’s no need to juggle families at the major holidays. We have Passover (for both families) at our house. Tom’s mother has Christmas at hers. On Saturday it was a package of books, including my book of the week. And today I found this package from Cathay Pacific at my front door. For the Hong Kong stories, we might focus on drinks (red bean ice, milk tea, and the etiquette of pouring tea at dim sum) or modes of transportation (tram, ferry, double-decker bus).
