It’s been a busy autumn and winter and I feel so behind on posting my book-worthy news. Although Bernardine’s Shanghai Salon came out two months ago, I still feel like I’m in the thick of book promotion. That’s a good thing!
I had interviews with Katie Gee Salisbury and Aimee Liu on their SubStacks. They’re both writers I adore!
And I was interviewed on the Asian Review of Books podcast, which is near and dear to me.
I was also on the Euripides, Eumenides podcast at the Trident Theatre.
I was interviewed on the Too Jewish radio show with Rabbi Sam Cohon.
Historic Shanghai has been a huge supporter from the beginning and just published this spectacular review.
I also had reviews in Asian Cha and the Asian Review of Books!
LoveReading in the UK named Bernardine one of their books of the month! It’s on sale in the UK now, too!
And I won a runner-up 2023 Zibby Award for Best Book for the History Lover!
If you have read Bernardine’s Shanghai Salon and have any feelings about it, please consider leaving a quick review on Amazon and/or GoodReads.
Thank you a million!!

That’s quite a few podcasts to listen to. Glad to see you out there, thanks for sharing!
It’s great you have a lot to say about this book and the writing process. May I ask which one is your favorite and you’d recommend listening to first?

Thank you so much!! The Asian Review of Books podcast is less than 30 minutes and seems to pass quickly, so that might be the best to try! I really appreciate it!
