Photo Friday

May 11, 2018 By Susan Blumberg-Kason Leave a Comment

I recently got new laptop and after a data migration have been going through old files and photos and stumbled upon this one. It’s one of my favorites from the mid-90s. My parents and I are at the Raffles in Singapore for the afternoon. They order—what else—Singapore Slings, but I asked for a Diet Coke.

That’s how I was back then. Stubborn and set in my ways. In some ways I haven’t changed and I still don’t drink. But 10 years after this photo was taken, I was in Havana and did try daiquiris and mojitos. I’d learned from my mistake in Singapore when I didn’t try that Singapore Sling!
