My grandparents in 1970s India

February 17, 2017 By Susan Blumberg-Kason Leave a Comment

My grandma was one of my heroes and would have been 101 in a couple days if she had lived this long. And she almost did! Shortly before she passed away in late 2016, she gave me a box of old photos to see if I wanted to scan any.

The box was a treasure trove of pictures from my family’s travels, including my grandparents’ trip to India when I was still in nursery school sometime in the first half of the 1970s. The photos are so stunning that I thought I’d share them here.

I wouldn’t be who I am today were it not for my grandma. She gave me the love of travel, of reading, and of being open-minded and accepting of people from different backgrounds.
