mexican-skirt

I’ve blogged before about packing light and how I’ve traveled around the world with three changes of clothes. One of the outfits included this purple skirt I bought in Mexico City 34 years ago. I recently found this photo from back in the early 80s soon after that trip to Mexico. Going by the Cubs schedule in my brother’s pocket, it was probably 1983.

I also bought this blouse in Mexico City, but lost both it and the skirt years ago in one move or another. I managed to wear the skirt for a decade, so I’m not sure how I didn’t hang on to it. I also bought a beautiful, off the shoulder dress in Mexico that I loved even more than the skirt. But, alas, that, too was lost in a move.

Sounds like Mexico City is a great place to shop for clothes (at least summer clothes) 🙂

It was back in 1982/83! I think it still would be now, though. Parts of it are very hip, I’ve heard!
