The Hong Kong skyline

October 29, 2016 By Susan Blumberg-Kason Leave a Comment

I’ve always found the Hong Kong skyline to be therapeutic. Back when I was 19 and new to the city, I found solace in the tranquility of the harbor and the strength of the buildings. This is what it looked like just before I left a year later in 1991.

Now it’s changed a lot and the harbor has decreased in size as land reclamation has taken over. Here are photos of the skyline from my recent trip to Hong Kong.

From my first night there, two to three hours after I landed:

And from my second to last day there:

I’m not a fan of the IFC, the tallest building in some of these photos. But even that can’t detract from my love of the skyline.
