When I found out that Barnes and Noble is selling Good Chinese Wife already, I ordered a copy online last Thursday. With the Fourth of July holiday in the US the following day, the normal turnaround time for shipping was delayed a bit. But thanks to electronic tracking, I was able to follow my book’s journey from New Jersey to Illinois. And this is what I found in my mailbox today!
My little ones were home (number one son has a job this summer), so we gathered on the dining room floor and opened the box.
It looked great and is thicker than the review copy. Here’s the back cover.
And the spine. (I love all these details!)
Last night I saw the Publishers Weekly review, which was pretty great! Here’s how it starts:
A well-intentioned though hasty marriage to a less-than-forthright mainland Chinese man turns sour in this prickly memoir by freelance Chicago journalist Blumberg-Kason.
I’ve been busy writing guest posts and answering interview questions for a mega blog tour that will start next week and go through the end of August. Stay tuned for more details!
Susan, I just ordered my copy — I can’t wait to get it!
Thank you so much, Heather! I can’t wait to hear what you think!
